Well, the Revolution seems to be proceeding apace at Pace University.
This past weekend it hosted the Left Forum 2011 Conference where former SEIU Stephen Lerner who’s remarks were taped and featured today on The Blaze and at Business Insider. Speaking freely because he was among friends, Lerner partially unveiled a plan to bring about financial chaos in America [only partially because, as he put it 'don't want to give any details because I don't know if there are any police agents in the room']. Stacy McCain in on the case and has filed a report that he has been updating as he gets more information. A highlight:
…Lerner described his plan for a “10-state mobilization” against J.P. Morgan Chase beginning in May, seeking “to inspire a much bigger movement about redistributing wealth and power in the country.” “We need to figure out . . . through direct action . . . how we are really trying to disrupt and create uncertainty for capital, for how corporations operate,” Lerner said. “There are actually extraordinary things we could do right now to start to destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement.”

What we’re witnessing is an organized attempt at initiating a soft coup in the United States by way of a socialist cabal. Michael Medved might not like to hear this; Bill O’Reilly and Bernie Goldberg likely won’t, either — concerned, as they both are, about the “rightwing” “bash Obama” industry (which isn’t helping “the folks”); Jeb Bush surely doesn’t, if such a revelation means that his standing on stage with Obama in the swing state of FL to burnish his “pragmatic centrist” bona fides then looks like either betrayal of conservative principles, or a real lack of discernment and judgment; and of course, the establishment GOP, who has built its entire political strategy on the idea that Washington is and always will be business as usual (and it is — for them) probably want to skip this as well.
Indeed. All Lerner is doing is reading directly out of the Leftist Playbook.
The more perceptive Leftists know that their ideas and schemes, if seen in the clear light of day, will always be unpopular with enough people that they cannot hope to gain power and control under normal circumstances – the mass of people refuse to be Enlightened/Illuminated like they are, you see. From Lenin on down, the discerning Bolsheviks [the word translates as 'minority'] have understood that the people will only turn to them [if they turn to them at all] during crisis situations where Chaos reigns. At such a moment, the Leftist can offer appeasement of the masses demands [lying through their teeth very easily because they have no morals] and promises of restored order [they don't mention that it comes at the point of a gun and the heel of the jackboot]. History has again and again shown that human beings will sacrifice freedom to achieve stability.
Thus, Learner is no original strategist. If he is to receive any credit at all, it would be as a wily tactician in what Jeff has correctly labeled the Soft Coup [pronounced 'Coop' if you're a certain jug-eared Nancy Boy].

-FYI: The Left Forum is the child of the Socialist Scholars Conference that was founded by the Democratic Socialists Of America and, as was documented in Stanley Kurtz’s book, Radical-In-Chief, a young Barry Obama attended the SS Conferences in the 1980′s.
